The Queens of the Stone Age 2027 tour announcement gives long-serving alternative-rock listeners something concrete to plan around. After performing Where the Goth Girls At? on The Tonight Show on October 21, the band announced North American dates beginning in May. Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp are listed as support. Somewhere, a carefully preserved concert shirt has just been promoted back to active duty.

Stereogum and Pitchfork reported the itinerary October 22. The May run begins with California dates including San Diego on May 1 and Inglewood on May 2. The band’s album Perfecth is scheduled for October 30. These are announced plans; readers should use the official tour information and venue links for current ticket details rather than treating a news paragraph as a checkout page.

There is an obvious nostalgia angle in a bill with Pixies, but an active band releasing an album is also making present-tense music. Reducing the whole announcement to a trip back to someone’s first apartment misses that distinction. A familiar artist can carry a long history into a room while still asking the audience to hear something it has not memorized.

Our take: the useful pleasure here is the combination of a new release, a television performance and a tour extending into next year. Those are different ways to encounter a band. A clip can introduce a song; an album supplies its context; a concert changes the balance again. None requires a competition over who discovered the group before everybody else got there.

The practical part is less romantic. Check the year, venue, ticket source and terms before buying. A list containing shows across several continents can make dates easy to misread when copied into social posts. This article does not establish final ticket prices, availability or a guarantee that every song in the television appearance will appear in a future set.

The photograph is from a 2013 performance, clearly identified as archival. Today’s news is the newly announced 2027 run and its connection to the current release campaign. The guitars can remain loud while the planning becomes slightly more sensible. Knowing where the exit and your actual seat are is not selling out; it is the wisdom acquired by surviving several decades of encores.
