Slash, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators announced the album Flying Blind and an extensive 2027 world tour.

The fifth record is coming

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will release Flying Blind on February 26, 2027, through Gibson Records. It is the group’s fifth studio album and follows 4, released in 2022. The title track is already out, giving listeners a first look at a record the band describes as direct, live-feeling rock rather than a laboratory experiment assembled from 9,000 plugins.

They recorded it like a band

The musicians tracked much of the album live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida with longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette. Flying Blind contains 12 songs, and the title track reportedly grew out of a spontaneous idea during preproduction. That method suits a group built around interaction: Slash’s guitar lines, Kennedy’s high-wire vocals and a rhythm section that knows the difference between polish and embalming.

The tour is not modest

The 2027 itinerary begins April 2 in Santiago, Chile, before moving through South America, North America and Europe. Dates are planned across the United States, Canada, Germany, Britain, Italy and other markets. In other words, the band did not announce a tasteful six-night residency with artisanal cocktails. They announced mileage.

Why Gen X still cares

Slash remains one of the most recognizable guitarists of the MTV era, but the Conspirators project is no nostalgia museum. The group began working together in the early 2010s and has developed its own catalog alongside the unavoidable Guns N’ Roses legacy. Kennedy, Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz and Frank Sidoris give the music continuity without requiring anyone to pretend it is 1988.

Electricity remains the business plan

Slash has said the group intends to keep going as long as the enthusiasm—and electricity—remain. That is a refreshingly uncomplicated mission statement in an industry obsessed with eras, rollouts and immersive brand ecosystems. There is a record, there is a tour, and there will almost certainly be a guitar solo long enough to retrieve snacks and return before the landing.
