Texas is taking White on Blonde back on the road for its 30th anniversary, with an 11-date UK and Ireland arena tour planned for October 2027. The band also announced an anniversary reissue of the 1997 album and released a new single, “Another Way to Cry.” Gen X has reached the age when an album anniversary can have an itinerary, a vinyl strategy and better organizational skills than most households.

Frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri told The Scottish Sun that the band’s 2023 Glastonbury appearance brought a new, multigenerational audience. That renewed demand helped drive the tour. The anniversary edition is scheduled for February 5 and is expected to put White on Blonde on commercial vinyl for the first time, after original vinyl copies were reportedly made only for promotional use.

The album includes “Say What You Want,” “Black Eyed Boy” and “Halo,” songs that did not require an algorithm to find their way into late-1990s kitchens, cars and radio rotations. Comedian Peter Kay is writing liner notes for the reissue. Tickets are scheduled for general sale October 30 at 10 a.m., according to the report; buyers should verify local venue details before entering the modern ticketing labyrinth.

The video for “Another Way to Cry” features Spiteri with actor Robert Carlyle in the Scottish Highlands and nods to the film Paris, Texas, which inspired the band’s name. Spiteri also supplied an unusually necessary 2026 detail: the Highland cattle were real, not AI. We have reached the future, and apparently the cows now require authentication.

Our take: this is a smarter anniversary package than simply applying a new sticker to an old record and pretending nobody owns it already. There is new music, a defined tour and an edition that addresses a genuine gap in the album’s physical history. Nostalgia is doing some work here, but it has been asked to bring tools rather than just stand in the doorway talking about 1997.

The dates are more than a year away, so no review of the future performances is possible. The band says a new record is also in progress, but no finished-album release date was confirmed in the report. Announced plans and completed work remain separate categories, even when everyone would prefer the deluxe box set immediately.

For now, fans have the new single, the February anniversary edition and the October 2027 tour plan. Texas is not pretending the clock stopped. It is using the anniversary to connect an established album with a fresh audience—and giving aging record buyers time to locate both their reading glasses and the presale password.
