Trump-aligned political groups are pouring more than $130 million into the closing stretch of the 2026 midterms, because apparently democracy now arrives in thirty-second installments between truck commercials.

The spending is spread among several organizations tied to the president’s political operation. AdImpact data cited by The Associated Press shows the newly formed No Going Back PAC reserving about $98.5 million, much of it for competitive Senate races, while the Safety and Affordability PAC is concentrating on House contests.

A giant check does not guarantee a giant result

MAGA Inc. reportedly held more than $400 million at the end of July, giving the wider network enormous capacity. But late advertising reservations are expensive, and money buys fewer television spots as Election Day approaches. The groups are also entering a sour environment shaped by economic anxiety, the Iran war and weak approval ratings.

The Michigan Senate race and New York’s 17th Congressional District are among the contests drawing major attention. The ad barrage will likely focus on affordability, public safety and the familiar promise that everything will be fixed immediately after one more fundraising text.

The organization chart matters

Associated Press reported the spending on September 17, 2026. The overlapping personnel and coordinated priorities show how presidential political machinery can extend far beyond a single campaign committee.

Gen X remembers when political ads ended at dinner instead of following you from television to phone to streaming service. Voters should pay attention not only to what these ads say, but who paid for them and which claims survive contact with evidence. One hundred thirty million dollars can purchase repetition. It cannot purchase truth.
