Victoria Monét is returning with Frequency of Love, a 22-track album arriving three years after the Grammy-winning Jaguar II. In streaming mathematics, 22 songs is an album, a deluxe edition and the emotional inventory of everybody who ever left a voicemail after midnight.
Monét rejects the idea that the interval was inactivity. She toured with Bruno Mars, completed culinary school, became a mother and gathered the experiences now feeding the record's themes of romance, self-love and adulthood.
The '90s R&B DNA is intentional
The album includes nods to Brandy and Kenny Lattimore while pushing across contemporary pop and R&B styles. Guests include Bruno Mars, SZA, Bryson Tiller, Leon Thomas and Chlöe Bailey.
Executive producer Camper helped create a large project meant to move between sensuality, vulnerability and confidence. Monét has cited Michael Jackson's artistic evolution as inspiration for taking risks rather than repeating the formula that won her awards.
A tour follows the release
The “Frequency of Love” tour will visit 27 North American cities beginning in late October. Monét is also pursuing scripted television and film writing, because apparently one creative lane felt suspiciously manageable.
The Associated Press profiled the album, collaborators and tour plans on October 1, 2026.
This is not nostalgia content pretending the present stopped. It is new R&B built by an artist who understands the old slow-jam architecture and has no intention of living inside its museum gift shop.
