Aerosmith & Friends is taking over the Hollywood Bowl for two nights: October 29 and November 1, 2026. The band’s October 7 announcement offers enough rock royalty to make a Gen X group chat briefly forget everyone’s blood-pressure medication.

General ticket sales begin Saturday, October 10 at 10 a.m. Pacific. The artist presale ran October 9. If you are reading this after that window, arguing with the calendar will not reopen it.

The guest list comes with fine print

The official announcement names guests including the Black Crowes, Run DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Jerry Cantrell, Slash, Duff McKagan and Tom Morello, among many others. It also explicitly warns that the lineup varies by night and remains subject to change.

That matters. A sprawling poster is not a guarantee that every listed musician will appear at the particular performance you buy. Check the organizer’s current listing before making travel plans; nostalgic enthusiasm is not a refund policy.

A return, without inventing a tour

People reports that these are the band’s first proper live shows since its August 2024 retirement from touring following Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. The verified announcement is for these two Bowl dates. It does not establish a nationwide comeback itinerary or certify Tyler’s medical condition.

The appeal is easy to understand: familiar songs, familiar personalities and the possibility of unexpected musical combinations. A guest-heavy celebration can also make the event feel different from simply restarting the old road machine. Whether that translates into a satisfying show is something audiences will discover at the venue.

Our view: Gen X nostalgia works best when it creates a new evening rather than selling the exact same memory again. These dates at least promise the ingredients for that. Bring enthusiasm, read the ticket conditions and settle the parking argument before the first guitar chord. The band has enough moving parts without adding your friend who insists that leaving “around six” is a plan.
