The Sting 3.0 Las Vegas residency is now past its advertised public-sale opening and heading toward eleven shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2027. The official announcement put that sale at October 17, with the first performance on March 4. The band is three people. The engagement goes to eleven. Somewhere, a Gen X dad is pleased with this arithmetic.

Caesars lists guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas alongside Sting. The residency’s premise is a lean trio revisiting his catalog, rather than a promise of a Police reunion. The announced March dates are March 4, 6, 7, 10, and 12. The October dates are October 14, 16, 17, 20, 22, and 23.

All performances were announced for 8 p.m. The public sale followed presales earlier that week. These are announced dates and sale arrangements, not a claim that seats remain available at a particular price today. Check the artist’s official listings and the venue-linked seller for the date you want before making travel commitments. A press release is not a live inventory counter.

The stripped-down format is the interesting musical proposition. A smaller lineup can put the interaction between bass, guitar, drums, and voice in sharper relief. Whether that feels revelatory or simply familiar will depend on the performance; we are previewing the engagement, not claiming to have reviewed shows that will not happen until next year.

For listeners who remember when a new Police single meant turning up an actual radio, the residency offers a different way to revisit that musical history. It is a scheduled run in one room, not a farewell announcement or a guarantee of any particular nightly set list. Nostalgia is doing enough work without asking it to fabricate the encore.

The practical update this weekend is that the general sale has reached its announced opening, with both 2027 blocks available to investigate through official channels. Our preferred approach remains unfashionably simple: pick a real date, confirm the details, and decide whether the music is worth the trip. The marketing can call it explosive. Your calendar still needs the correct year.
