Update: Two Ohio men were arraigned Monday on 25 combined charges arising from allegations of sexual abuse and child endangerment involving two children—the investigation that authorities say later led them to a separate home where 16 children were found in unsafe conditions.

Daily Junk Food previously reported the new felony indictments and conditions alleged at the Siders home. Monday’s arraignments add the defendants’ pleas-stage court appearances, bond amounts and no-contact orders.

Josh Saunders, 23, and Brandon Henderson Sr., 40, appeared in Vinton County court. A judge set bond at $250,000 for each and ordered both men to have no contact with each other or with the alleged victims, according to ABC 6.

The charges announced by Ohio authorities

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office said Saunders was indicted on three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition. Henderson was indicted on 21 counts, including child endangerment, gross sexual imposition and sexual battery.

The indictments allege conduct spanning multiple years. One allegation against Saunders involves a child younger than 10, according to the court-record summary published by ABC 6. Identifying details about the children are being withheld.

How this connects to the Siders case

The state says the investigation began in December 2025 after the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office asked the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Special Victims Unit to investigate allegations involving two children.

Information developed in that investigation prompted a second inquiry in March. On June 30, authorities executed a warrant at a home on Ohmer Street in Hamden. The state says investigators found 16 children living there in unsafe conditions and later brought separate allegations against members of the Siders family.

An obituary reviewed by ABC 6 identifies Henderson as a brother-in-law of Gary Siders Jr. and Elizabeth Siders. The address listed for Henderson and Saunders is separate from the Ohmer Street house, according to the report.

Related does not mean interchangeable

The cases are connected by the investigative trail, but the allegations should not be mashed into one internet-sized accusation. Saunders and Henderson face charges tied to two alleged victims. The Siders defendants face separate sexual-conduct and child-endangerment allegations arising from later investigations.

Ohio officials said the broader work remains active. That matters because an indictment describes accusations approved for prosecution; it is not proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless convicted. The children’s privacy should remain intact while prosecutors, defense attorneys and the court sort through allegations that are both extensive and deeply serious.
