Erasure will release its 20th album, Radio!! Radio!!, in March before a European arena tour with Ladytron and planned U.S. dates.
Twenty albums and still glowing
Erasure has announced Radio!! Radio!!, the duo’s 20th studio album, due March 12 on Mute. Vince Clarke and Andy Bell have been making records together for four decades, which is longer than several music formats, most nightclub relationships and the useful life of every charging cable you currently own.
The first single changes the temperature
Lead single “Wings of Love” keeps the melodic clarity associated with Erasure but adds a wearier emotional tone. The album is described as an expansion of the duo’s synth-pop foundation, with Clarke bringing more piano and acoustic guitar into the arrangements. Evolution, in other words, without throwing the synthesizers into a ceremonial bonfire.
The partnership began with an ad
Clarke had already helped launch Depeche Mode and formed Yazoo with Alison Moyet before he found Bell through an advertisement in NME. Erasure became the lasting partnership, producing enduring songs including “A Little Respect,” “Chains of Love” and “Stop!” while proving that vulnerability and dance-floor precision were never opposites.
Ladytron joins the road trip
After the album arrives, Erasure will tour arenas across the United Kingdom and Europe from late April through May 2027, with Ladytron opening many dates. The announced itinerary includes Cardiff, Dublin, London, Berlin, Copenhagen and Stockholm. The duo also says U.S. dates are planned, though those have not yet been detailed.
A legacy act refuses the museum case
The easy move would be another greatest-hits lap, and audiences would happily attend. Instead, Erasure is releasing a full album and placing new work beside the songs that have followed fans since cassettes ruled the glove compartment. Nostalgia may buy the ticket, but creative restlessness is what keeps a catalog from becoming tasteful wallpaper.
