Prince Jackson made a rare public appearance in Las Vegas to mark what would have been Michael Jackson’s 68th birthday.

Prince attended a celebration connected to Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay on August 29. He signed autographs, greeted fans and helped lead a birthday cheer for his father.

The appearance arrives during renewed attention around the Jackson legacy following the 2026 biopic Michael. Prince served as an executive producer on the film, which stars his cousin Jaafar Jackson as the King of Pop.

A family connection to the biopic

Prince has described seeing Jaafar transformed into his father for the role as an emotional experience. He said he hopes the film introduces a new generation to Michael Jackson’s music and broader message.

Michael Jackson ONE has operated in Las Vegas since 2013, making the show a natural gathering place for the birthday tribute. Prince’s participation turned the annual fan remembrance into a direct family moment—brief, public and centered on the work rather than another round of Jackson-family chaos.
